To become a member of the Newmarket Optimist Club, a person must:

• Be an adult living in Newmarket or the surronding area, with a  willingness to accept the Optimist Creed and to work for the betterment  of kids in the community.

• Pay a $100 annual membership fee.

• Attend club meetings, meet the Optimist Club members and be accepted by vote of the membership.

• Show a willingness to learn leadership skills and take on responsibility for club activities.
